Use ruby yarn. Work 5 ch and join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 ch (= 1 dc) and 15 dc into ring, join with sl st into 3. of 3 ch. Break of yarn.
Rnd 2 Join yarn colour off white. Join yarn to any dc. 3 ch (= 1 dc), 1 dc into base of 3 ch. 1 dc into each of next 3 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 3 dc, 3 dc into next dc. Break of yarn. Join yarn red. 2 dc in same dc (corner), 1 dc into each of next 3 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 3 dc, 3 dc into next dc (corner), join with sl st to 3. of 3 ch. Break of yarn.
Rnd 3 Join yarn colour ruby red. Join yarn to centre dc of corner group. 3 ch (= 1 dc), 1 dc into base of 3 ch. 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 3 dc into next Break of yarn. Join yarn colour beige. 2 dc in same dc (corner), 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 3 dc into dc (corner), join with sl st to 3. of 3 ch. Break of yarn.
Rnd 4 Join yarn colour grey. Join yarn to centre dc of corner group. 3 ch (= 1 dc), 1 dc into base of 3 ch. 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 3 dc into next dc. Break of yarn. Join yarn colour pink. 2 dc in same dc (corner), 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 5 dc into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, 3 dc into dc (corner), join with sl st to 3. of 3 ch. Break of yarn.
Join the 4 squares this way:
Rnd 5 Continue with the grey yarn. Join yarn to 3. dc of the corner. 4 ch (=1 hdc, 2 ch), 1 dc, *1 hdc into next 16 dc.
3 dc into the pink:
1 hdc into next 15 st, 1 hdc, 2 ch, 1 hdc into next st (=corner) *
